King pigeon
The King is a breed of pigeon developed over many years of selective breeding primarily as a utility breed. Kings along with other varieties of domesticated pigeons are all descendants from the rock pigeon (''Columba livia'').
The breed is known for large size and suitability for squab production.
==Sexing==
The King can not be visually sexed due to the likeness of both genders. However, observation of the interactions of King pigeons can usually provide an accurate gender identification.
